Ironman 70.3 Geelong

Geelong is located on Corio Bay, 75 kilometres south-west of the state's capital, Melbourne and is one of Australia’s most stunning waterfront developments. It is a hive of activity with a number of restaurants and cafes, beautiful landscaped gardens, attractions and public art, all with amazing views of Corio Bay. Race day temperatures typically range from 19deg Celsius (66) to 25deg Celsius (77), while water temps are between 17deg Celsius (62) and 21deg Celsius (70)

The Race

SWIM:The 1.9km swim begins as a deep water start at Eastern Beach . The course is one lap triangular course. more

BIKE:The 90km 3 lap bike course has a short sharp hill directly out of transition that you get to climb and descend three times, then it is a mix of undulating road with the majority on closed major roads. more

RUN:The 21.1km 3 lap challenging but fast run course is a mixture of roads, footpaths and nice gravel paths. more
